Hello! I’m Rebecca, the curator of Kittie’s Highline Art Space, a role I’ve had the privilege of holding since January 2021. It’s an absolute joy to meet new artists and showcase their incredible work. Every day, I’m learning more about their creative processes and gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry that enriches our community. My mission is simple: to bring art into every home and share it with every person.

In January 2023, Highline Coffee was sold to Steve and Diane Herman of Kittie’s Cakes, who are proud to expand their presence with a third location in Worthington. We invite you to stop by for a fresh cup of Oneline coffee and indulge in a hand-crafted pastry, delivered daily.

While the owners have changed, the Art Space itself remains a cozy and intimate gallery located inside Kittie’s. We continue to showcase the work of talented artists from central Ohio, supporting local creativity while offering a welcoming environment for all. Whether you’re here for the coffee, the art, or both, we invite you to come visit and experience the beauty of the art in our space.
Opening September 2, 2025
Elle Rachell

Gahanna-based mixed media artist Elle Rachell brings her deeply personal body of work to Kittie’s Highline Art Space in Worthington, Ohio, with a solo exhibit, Here. Showing September 2—October 31, 2025.

Here. marks her first show at Kittie’s Highline Art Space and offers new and selected works that explore what it means to take up space, to endure, to celebrate, and to stay rooted in one’s truth. Known for her raw, layered collage work and emotionally resonant compositions, Rachell invites viewers into an exploration of identity, resilience, and human imperfection. Her mixed media pieces, incorporating paint, pastel, and various textures, speak to the beauty in complexity and the honesty in imperfection.

“My work primarily explores themes of womanhood, belonging, and connectedness,” Rachell explains. “As an adoptee and someone who has moved through spaces both seen and unseen, I’m drawn to creating textured, imperfect humans living as their authentic selves. We may not always smile, look our best, or easily fit in, but we are here.”

A former member of the Daylight Artist Collective in Westerville, Rachell has exhibited at All People Arts, The Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center, and Emergent Arts. In June 2022, she debuted Her+Resilience, her first solo show at the Mansion 731, featuring 86 original works. Her art has been featured in The Columbus Dispatch and the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Sesquicentennial Exhibit.

Steve and Diane Herman, owners of Kittie’s, are proud to host Elle’s work. “There’s a raw honesty in Elle’s art that’s immediately felt,” the Hermans share. They own two other Kittie’s Cakes locations in central Ohio, where they are proud to offer new twists on family favorites alongside amazing coffee.
