Hello! I’m Rebecca, the curator of Kittie’s Highline Art Space, a role I’ve had the privilege of holding since January 2021. It’s an absolute joy to meet new artists and showcase their incredible work. Every day, I’m learning more about their creative processes and gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry that enriches our community. My mission is simple: to bring art into every home and share it with every person.

In January 2023, Highline Coffee was sold to Steve and Diane Herman of Kittie’s Cakes, who are proud to expand their presence with a third location in Worthington. We invite you to stop by for a fresh cup of Oneline coffee and indulge in a hand-crafted pastry, delivered daily.

While the owners have changed, the Art Space itself remains a cozy and intimate gallery located inside Kittie’s. We continue to showcase the work of talented artists from central Ohio, supporting local creativity while offering a welcoming environment for all. Whether you’re here for the coffee, the art, or both, we invite you to come visit and experience the beauty of the art in our space.
Opening May 2, 2025
Don Scott

Central Ohio visual artist Don Scott returns to Kittie’s Highline Art Space in Worthington, Ohio with his latest solo exhibit, “A Retrospective: 25 Years of Square,” showing May 2–June 30, 2025.
A Virginia native who grew up surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Scott expresses his devotion to and love of nature in most of his work, all produced or framed in a square format. He experiments with a variety of mediums and alternative processes as creative tools, but primarily roots his work in the photographic image.
“Our natural environment offers a canvas of intricate beauty, but we must seek it out in detail to fully discover and appreciate its marvelous splendor,” Scott explains. “My minimalistic disposition leads me to take a closer view of what nature freely offers and interpret it from an abstract perspective. After experiencing my work, I encourage viewers to explore the wonders of nature on their own: look, seek, and discover.”
“Now I’m creating on a more personal level with no internal demands or expectations,” Scott reveals. “I’m already working on pieces that are not necessarily influenced by my love of nature, and I may even make a more radical shift and create something that isn’t a square in some way. The jury is still out on that one.”
After leaving careers in public relations, marketing communications, and sales management, Scott co-founded Highline Coffee Art Space in 2016, serving as the director and curator for nearly five years.
Steve and Diane Herman, owners of Kittie’s, are delighted to present a selected collection of Don’s homage to nature. “Don’s artwork is a wonderful representation of the beauty around us that perhaps we too often ignore,” the Hermans share. They own two other Kittie’s Cakes locations in central Ohio where they are proud to offer new twists on family favorites alongside amazing coffee.
